Earth and Beyond

“To space and beyond” It seems that the catchphrase of Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story series needs to be changed.

On an island in New Guinea, the environment group WWF (World Wildlife Fund) said that they had found over 1,000 new species that include a river shark, a frog with fangs, and a round-headed dolphin! Now considering how remote and unspoiled the New Guinea rainforest is, discovery of new species might not be surprising, but the big thing is that these 1,000+ new species were found over a 10 year period!

This means the WWF found a new specie at the rate of one every 2 weeks! That probably means that there are other species there that are not found yet. To space and beyond? Maybe it should be “Within Earth and beyond”!
