What do you do when you faced an election you can’t win? For
Thailand, the opposition party there decided that the answer is to cause a riot
and block the election from going through.
Taking a page out of the Egyptian military government’s playbook,
the main opposition Democrat Party’s supporters are trying to cause chaos on
the streets of Bangkok to delay or cancel the election set on 2nd Feb. The Democrat
Party also announced that they will boycott the general election, an election
they were certain to lose, because the election process needs “reform”.
What a bunch of crybabies!
The ruling Puea Thai Party didn’t change anything to get
into power, but they worked hard in northern Thailand to secure a powerbase and
then used it to get into power. Even after getting in power, they didn’t change
anything and continued to win elections after elections.
The Democrat Party’s reaction to the rise of the Puea Thai
Party for the past 12 years has been nothing short of self-defeating. Instead
of getting down to the ground to get support back in the north, they are trying
to stop a free and fair election! Even in Singapore, with an unfair biased
election system geared for the ruling party, you don’t see our opposition
parties trying to stop any election. They knuckled down and work the ground.
It seems that’s not the case in Thailand. They rather try to
stop the election all together. The fact that a political party called the Democrat
is trying to stop an election is so ironic it’s not even laughable. It’s just pathetic.

It is laughable to see our Opposition being sued till bankrupt...and 7 Opposition MPs dare not stand up to tell the truth...
Ha ha...what a joke..
At least there are now 9 opposition MPs, Gerald Giam and Yee Jenn Jong are NCMPs, now in Parliment. A few years ago, there are none. The WP didn't complain or whine but worked the ground. They now got the results. The Thai opposition need to learn something from our opposition.
With one JBJ / CST...we can hear the voices of the people in Parliament...and now 9 Opposition MPs...we are not hearing anything..except praises for the government...What results have they got..
If only we have the guts of the JBJ..to "wake up from their slumber."
correction .."we"..."they"..or should it be the 60 percent voters...
61% of Singapore voted for the PAP so they form the government. If you're not happy about that, join an opposition party and help them out for the next GE. You try your best to win, you DO NOT try stop the election. Something the Thai opposition is trying to do. So yes, they's a bunch of pathetic crybabies!
Right, we also have a pathetic law makers...who are "inside" the polling booth...but not within "the polling booth."
Even our Opposition MPs agreed with this ruling, and of course the existence of a "non-controlled" ballot box...
Tell me, who to win the election, unless you are part of the WHITE / BLUE Team.
Pathetic...
So you're saying the PAP need to cheat in order to win an election in Singapore? If you really think that, you need some serious help.
The PAP don't need to cheat because they won and won big. You seriously think the PAP is worried about the 9 opposition MPs when they have over 50? You think they are really worried about the 40% voting for the opposition when 60% voted for them? The whole of the opposition can't even get 50% of the votes!
Like I said earlier, if you really think the PAP are shaking in their boots because of the election results, you need help.
