Seriously?

Who says Singapore does not have a sense of humor? 32 year-old Oliver Fricker, a Swiss business consultant, was charged in court with breaking into a Singapore MRT depot and spray-painting graffiti on a train.

Mr. Fricker’s passport was impounded and bail was set at a ridiculous $100,000. Now a Briton, Lloyd Dane Alexander, is suspected to be an accomplice of Mr. Fricker and is ought by Singapore. Problem is Mr. Alexander is in Hong Kong at the moment and Singapore is going to extradite him from Hong Kong.

Yes, Singapore is going to extradite a man for vandalism! People in Indonesia must be laughing their guts out when they hear this. There are over 10 Indonesian millionaires currently living in Singapore who are wanted by Indonesia for various corruption charges but Singapore has constantly refused to extradite them back to Indonesia. Now Singapore wants to extradite a man from Hong Kong for vandalism!

Is vandalism more serious than corruption? In Singapore, that seems to be the case. Who says Singapore does not have a sense of humor?

Singapore has no extradition treaty with Indonesia.

The reason for a lack of extradition treaty with Indon is equally interesting.

That 2nd guy should have gone to Indo or Romania. These 2 countries no extradition treaty with SG.

Any other countries?

So you'll know where to fly to if you don't want to be dragged back to SG.

Yes, and now Interpol is involved. Interpol involved in a case of vandalism! Police worldwide must be laughing their guts out as well.

The signing of an extradition treaty with Indon -- as with any national policy/decision -- should be on a win-win basis. The rich Indon businessmen park their cash and investments here, indirectly providing some jobs, and are unlikely to vandalise any trains, mailboxes or whatever.

I thot only very very serious crimes will involve Interpol ?

This time, who is our world class PAP Minister involved : Selamat Wong who cannot sing or Romanian Yeo who cannot extradite ?

LOL.

Actually Interpol is not only for serious crimes, but considering this is vandalism...priority will be given first to drugs, organized crime, rich courrpt Indonesian businessmen etc.

Not sure if something is missing, but Interpol's help is required because this Alexander thing BREACHED a highly secured area. Not merely for vandalism.

No wonder Singaporeans are called stupid, eh? Is it because of the Newater you all have been drinking? Must be.

In Disneypore vandalism, chewing gum and breaching the 3/4 tank rule are very, very serious offences and require the utmost attention of
law enforcement, including Interpol!

Yes, I am sure Interpol will take the "BREACHED" of a highly secured area for vandalism very, very seriouly.

I don't think it is funny at all. You should find out why Indonesia does not want to sign the extradition with Singapore.
