Facebook Holdouts

I never understood the attraction of Facebook because I just don’t understand what’s so great about Facebook. Almost everyone I know has a Facebook account but I don’t.

So it was great for me to know that I’m not (totally) alone. One other famous man has admitted that he does not have a Facebook account and it was none other than the titan of technology, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates! He was forced to give up on Facebook when over 10,000 people wanted to be his friends.

I have no doubt that Gates’ massive fortune is one of the reasons why so many people want to be his ‘friend’, but 10,000 people? A prefect example of why I don’t understand Facebook. Way to go Bill, us Facebook holdouts need to stick together. Let me be your friend!

You have a point, but are YOU Bill Gates?

I guess it depends on who you are. For me, having a FB account enables me to link up with many old friends I've not contacted for a long time. Some found me through FB, so there's pros and cons. Use it correctly and it'll serve the purpose it's intended to; abuse it and it becomes a nuisance or liability.

It's all how you use it. Facebook is really advanced (unlike Friendster) and you can set the privacy settings to the details, so there's no need to fear.

Yes I agree with the third Anonymous in the keeping in touch with friends. So far most of the people ARE doing just that and they have no trouble at all with their accounts.

Also, if you're not famous in the first place, you need not worry at all in having tons of people suddenly wanting to add you as a friend because who are you to them in the first place?

really advanced and you can't get out of it even if you want to. For what I heard, it's also impossible to cancel your details on Facebook
