The sports network, ESPN, has made enemies of gamers
everywhere by announcing…that e-sports are not sports! Uh?
ESPN president John Skipper, speaking at a recent
conference, was asked to comment e-sports and he said, "It's not a sport,
it's a competition." To be fair to the man, Skipper then went on to say chess
and checkers are competitions, not sports, as well but to weigh in on this, I
have to say...the man is absolutely right.
Come on people, e-sport is NOT a sport. We sit on our asses
playing video games. Forgot sweating, we’ll not even standing! We are NOT doing
sports when we are playing games.
